Giving Back to the Game

The feelings that I’ve attained from these round orange things that I hold are truly a blessing. Basketball has taught me so many life lessons that I can’t even imagine where I would be without this sport. When I started to play, I was about 13 years old. I remember being one of the worst on my middle school team, and all of the frustrations it put me through… but for some reason, I still wanted to get better. No matter how many people put me down, I wanted to be better for myself. All of the hard work put in for this game ends up transforming into genuine love for it, and it becomes a part of a person. Being an avid basketball player made me want to be the best person I can be, on and off the court. Additionally, the team aspect of it all made me realize how important all of my friends and family are to me. That’s why I will always love this game and show my most respect for it. ❤️
